I am Associate Professor of Sustainable Business Management of Natural Resources in the Department of Wood Science  and Faculty of Forestry and Environmental Stewardship at UBC where I run the Business, Sustainability and Technology Lab. I am also affiliated with the Environmental Governance Lab at the University of Toronto, the Earth System Governance Project and the United Nations Forum on Sustainability Standards.

I study environmental governance and have a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Toronto. My current research interests include: the impact of digital technologies on the environment and sustainable production. 

My work has been published in Business Strategy and the Environment, Ecological Economics, Global Environmental Politics, Global Environmental Change, Organization & Environment, Review of International Studies, Review of International Political EconomyRegulation & Governance, and Business and Politics. My book – Beyond Greenwash? Explaining Credibility in Transnational Eco-Labeling was published by Oxford University Press in 2019.
